Button integration
The Seamless Access button itself should be accessible, understandable and accessible.
Context: Article or content page on which the button is placed.
Is there a Seamless Access button?
Is the button following Seamless Access styling?
Is the logo shown?
Is the sizing, color and focus states correct?
Is the button following custom styling?
Is the button legible (contrast)?
Does the button have focus/hover styling?
Does the Seamless Access button directly lead to the discovery mechanism?
Does the button state “Access through your institution”?
Button placement
The Seamless Access button should be clearly located, close to other options - it should be seen as a primary access method.
Context: Article or content page on which the button is placed.
Is the SA button placed close to the article/item being accessed?
Is it a single click to get to access? (not PDF -> Login)
Is the SA button placed under login/registration flows?
Is the SA button clearly distinguishable from other access options?
Is the SA button the primary access option?
IdP Discovery
The Seamless Access discovery mechanism should allow choosing an institution, managing multiple institutions and allowing for removing one's chosen option.
Context: Panel/model or page used for discovery of institutes.
Persistence
The Seamless Access should persist across browser sessions and sites.
